Eligibility & Safety

Who is eligible for weight-loss medication?

Eligibility is based on clinical criteria including BMI, medical history, current medications, and your overall health. Our clinicians will review your information to confirm whether GLP-1 medication is appropriate.

Who should NOT use Wegovy or Mounjaro?

These medications are not suitable if you: ✖ are pregnant or breastfeeding ✖ have a history of medullary thyroid cancer ✖ have MEN2 syndrome ✖ have had pancreatitis ✖ have severe gastrointestinal disease ✖ are using certain interacting medications Your clinician will assess suitability during your consultation.

Can I start if I have diabetes?

Yes, but only after a detailed clinician assessment. Some medications may not be appropriate in combination with diabetes treatments.

Medication & Dosing

Do I have to start on the introductory dose?

Yes. All new patients must begin on the approved introductory dose for safety and tolerability.

Can I pick my own dose?

No. Dose choice is always determined by a clinician based on your history, safety profile, and response.

When can I increase my dose?

Only after Month 1 and only after your doctor video consultation.

What if I miss a dose?

Your clinician will advise based on timing. Usually, you skip the missed dose and return to your normal schedule, but this depends on the medication and how long it has been.

Can I switch from Wegovy to Mounjaro?

Only after clinical review. Switching requires a medical risk assessment.

Transfer Patients

I'm already on a weight-loss drug. Can I continue my current dose?

Possibly — but only after our clinical team reviews your history, documentation, blood tests, and safety profile.

Which package must I choose if I'm transferring from another provider?

All transfer patients must choose PLUS or PRO in Month 1 so we can: ✔ verify your current dose ✔ review your medical documentation ✔ complete blood tests ✔ hold a clinician video consultation ✔ ensure safe continuation

What if I cannot prove my previous dose?

A lower or introductory dose will be prescribed for your safety.

Can I escalate to a higher dose immediately?

No. Dose escalation is only permitted after our doctor's Month 1 review.

Blood Tests & Clinic Visits

Where do I go for my blood test?

You can attend: Any Randox Health Clinic nationwide JACE Clinic (Campsie / Letterkenny)

Do I need to fast?

Usually no. If fasting is required, we will tell you at booking.

I recently had bloods elsewhere — can I use them?

You may upload them, and our clinician will determine if they are sufficient.

Doctor & Dietitian Video Consultations

What happens during the doctor video consultation?

Your clinician will: ✔ review your blood results ✔ evaluate your safety profile ✔ confirm your appropriate dose ✔ decide whether to continue, reduce, or escalate ✔ answer medical questions

What happens in the dietitian consultation (PRO package)?

You'll receive: ✔ a 60-minute personalised nutrition session ✔ calorie & macronutrient targets ✔ meal structuring strategies ✔ habit-change planning ✔ an emailed nutrition plan afterwards

Can I reschedule?

Yes, provided notice is given. Missed appointments may incur a rebooking fee.

3-Month Subscription Model

What does the 3-month programme include?

Month 1: Your chosen package (Core / Plus / Pro) Months 2 & 3: Medication only

Do prices change in Months 2 & 3?

Your medication price remains the same unless your dose changes.

What if I escalate my dose?

Monthly cost will increase to reflect the new dose.

Is the subscription automatically renewed?

You will be notified prior to renewal and can choose whether to continue.

Medication Supply, Dispatch & Delivery

How is my medication shipped?

Your medication is dispensed by our partner pharmacy and shipped using cold-chain packaging to maintain temperature integrity.

Why is my delivery window not guaranteed?

National stock levels for Wegovy and Mounjaro vary weekly. Dispatch may be delayed until stock is available.

Will you notify me if my dose is out of stock?

Yes. We will contact you with: expected restock timeline alternative dose options the option to delay or refund

Why is there water or liquid in my package?

This is normal. Condensation or melted gel ice packs may release a small amount of fluid. This does not mean your medication has leaked.

What if my medication feels warm?

Contact us immediately. The pharmacy will assess and advise whether a replacement is needed.

Why is there a delivery + processing fee?

These fees cover cold-chain packaging, courier handling, and secure payment processing.

Side Effects & Safety

What side effects are common?

Nausea, reduced appetite, constipation, reflux, diarrhoea, bloating, and fatigue. These are usually mild and improve over time.

What symptoms require urgent attention?

Seek medical help if you experience: ⚠ severe abdominal pain ⚠ vomiting that won't stop ⚠ signs of pancreatitis ⚠ difficulty swallowing ⚠ allergic reaction ⚠ fainting or severe dizziness

Can I drink alcohol while using GLP-1 medication?

Moderation is advised. Alcohol can worsen nausea.

Can I take other medications at the same time?

Your clinician will advise on drug interactions.

Results & Expectations

When will I start losing weight?

Some people see changes in 2–6 weeks. Full therapeutic benefit occurs after reaching a stable therapeutic dose.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Typical results range from 5–15% of body weight over 6–12 months, depending on medication, dose, diet, and lifestyle.

Do I need to diet?

Medication suppresses appetite, but best results come from pairing it with nutrition and behaviour changes (PRO package).

Returns, Refunds & Replacement

Can I return medication?

No. Prescription medication cannot legally be returned or reused.

What if my pen looks damaged?

Upload photos immediately. The pharmacy will assess and replace if appropriate.

What happens if my delivery is late?

You will be updated. You may request a delay, substitution, or refund if stock remains unavailable.

Payments, Billing & Fees

Why does the medication price change?

Prices change only if: the national pharmacy supply cost changes, or you move to a higher dose following clinician review.

Why is there a Stripe fee?

This covers secure card processing and fraud protection.

Can I pause or cancel?

Yes, provided medication has not already been dispensed.
